Congratulations to Alisa for winning the Tie Showdown: Holiday Special, and also for being the second member of the now-formally-established Tie Showdown Grover Cleveland Memorial Committee, made up of members who have won twice on the Tie Showdown.Alisa's tie this week was an absolute beauty of a holiday tie. Surely made with yule tide spirit, the depth of the tie's creativity and holiday spirit made this the favorite to win from the outset. Taking an existing green tie, adding a trunk, and decorations (the star was the coup de grace, in the eyes of the editors.) This truly spectacular holiday tie wins with 42% of the vote.
Come in second place was Adam (editor's note: It's so weird to be speaking in the third person). For some reason, the voters this week weren't impressed enough with Adam's battery-powered (the first in Tie Showdown history) light-up tie to deliver him a victory (perhaps there was too much sass? Maybe if his gloves had fingers?) . Nevertheless, an honorable showing was made, garnering 28% of the vote.
